Of Drawing 03:15
Every moment I try to escape Every horror that i couldn’t face Can’t wait for the feeling to come back Couldn’t wait for the feeling to come back I see the future that we’ll never make Every city that we’ll never take Can’t wait for the feeling to come back Couldn’t wait for the feeling to come back And when you find the covers off your legs My nails drip with saliva can’t behave There’s still a sense of drawing Still a scent about you I might lie to have something to say All of the hours I fit in a day All of the moments I try to replace Can’t wait for the feeling to come back Couldn’t wait for the feeling to come back Theres not a second I’m sorry to waste All of the nights that turned into days Can’t wait for the feeling to come back Couldn’t wait for the feeling to come back And when you find the covers off your legs My nails drip with saliva cant behave And when you find the covers off your legs My nails drip with saliva cant behave Theres still a sense of drawing Still a scent about you I might lie to have something to say Theres still a sense of drawing Still a scent about you I might lie to have something to say

Tell U 04:15
Always searching for a quote to follow Red lips don’t want to bother Where are you The thought it dwindles In time I always spin What can I tell you about the cold sweet ground Held so firm with my toes fanned out How could I tell you about the warm release No truth only honesty I thought I’d tell you I adore this lie Place to rest oh the future is so bright Front to back I drive no ending For squares thats my temptation I was sure I wanted you Before I decided who What can I tell you about the cold sweet ground Held so firm with my toes fanned out How could I tell you about the warm release No truth only honesty I thought I’d tell you I adore this lie Place to rest oh the future is so bright What can I tell you about the cold sweet ground Held so firm with my toes fanned out How could I tell you about the warm release No truth only honesty I thought I’d tell you I adore this lie Place to rest oh the future is so bright

Moto X 03:45
It looked so different In the magazines I read Artificial Light Walmart bedsheets Crawling in at 2 My desk littered with receipts You bought a pillow Just for your knees In the parking lot She had my bandana tied Across her forehead Like a traffic light Should have followed signs They pulled up and robbed me blind Kiss me on the lips Tell me next time Now I see That this place is everything That this place is everything I am not And while I sleep Lace your boots up to your knees Lace your boots up to your knees Make the first move
4.
Lost Me 03:16
I was slow and heavy In your eyes an open head And all I know is you Coldest truth Falling over every Other word and every breath And I could almost pull Back to you And I can only Start to think Where you find That same release How’s it so easy for you? Got a feeling that I can’t do more Won’t believe things that I read in my phone All the people from the years ago You're the only place that I call home Got a feeling that I can’t do more Won’t believe things that I read in my phone All the people from the years ago You're the only place that I call home Honestly forgetting Build a shoulder out of metal But your so aloof Coldest truth Intimate possession When I’m weak from all the effort I could almost pull Back to you And I can only Start to think Where you find That same relief I’d hate to leave you for less

Faces 03:19
Rising to the chorus Teeth and gums are always the same way I wanted to move forward Don’t want it to be you over again Changes on a Friday Who is here and free of any blame I can hear the laughter Rolling over every window pane In you I find a space Fertile grounds my fervent tastes And Each time it takes Less time to break This cold shoulder is for everyone but you And last night I caved The last night we said Paths cross and never cease to untangle I’m getting so familiar With getting to know you over again Sleeping through the action I hoped that it would feel unnatural Between us there are slow waves I hear them when you start to look away Reason to move faster Don’t think of it in any way at all

about

The EP was created over the last two years and acts as a journalistic representation of the group’s lives over that period as people and as musicians. Through this period the group has found their past and present lives linked inextricably, in a way that moved them to experience the pallet of emotions that come with being human in a more vivid light. The whispered words, the raised hairs, the sinking stomachs - the EP is an attempt to celebrate those feelings that we just can’t quite find the words to describe. Where words fail to, the EP aims to Tell U.

The songs on “Tell U” were written in various apartments across the world, as at its inception, the group was fragmented - with Brandon Tong living in Denver, Jacob Truax living in Paris, and Jayanna living in New York. After a trip to New York, where the group rented a practice space in a (now-demolished) warehouse, the group recorded the first demos for the Tell U EP, and decided to move to NYC together permanently.

Once in New York, the group worked on the first two singles “Tell U” and “Of Drawing” with Producer and Engineer Billy Pavone (Barrie, St. Lucia). His additional production and mixing brought the songs to a brand new place that galvanized the band to scrap their first demos on the EP and rework them entirely. They took “Faces” to experimental producer Nate Rennick, and completely remixed it, and re-worked “Lost Me” and “Moto X,” themselves. Jake Aron (Snail Mail, Solange) did the final mixes of the last three songs, and Joe LaPorta of Sterling Sound mastered all five songs on the EP.
